Charles F. Scanlon II DDS, MSD
Periodontist, Diplomate to the American Board of Periodontology
Dr. Scanlon is a 2008 graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry located in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated with honors, receiving the American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Dental Predoctoral Achievement Award, and the Quintessence Award for student research.
His residency in periodontics was completed in 2011 at the Medical University of South Carolina located in Charleston where he served as chief resident. His program included training in advanced periodontal therapy, bone grafting, implant therapy, and IV sedation.
He is a Diplomate to the American Board of Periodontology, a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the South Dakota Dental Association, the Black Hills District Dental Society, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
He and his wife Amy have two daughters and reside in Rapid City. When not treating patients, Chuck enjoys spending time with his family and being in the outdoors as much as possible. He is an avid hunter, skier, and fisherman.
